    A dolphin was found dead Wednesday evening in Volusia County, authorities say. Volusia County Beach Patrol officials said the 6-foot dolphin washed ashore about 6:24 p.m. in the 2200 block of North Ormond Beach. The dolphin was possibly alive when it washed up, but officials said it died soon after. No other details were provided.
