  • Dolphins at IMMS learn to paint for new interactive program

    Chance the dolphin, who nearly died after washing ashore on an Alabama beach three years ago, has now learned to paint. He's one of three dolphins at the Institute for Marine Mammal Studies that were taught to paint using a special brush they move with their mouths. It's part of a new, interactive "Paint with a Dolphin" program at IMMS.

    A female dolphin calf was born at Discovery Cove in Orlando on Wednesday morning.


  • Discovery Cove: Baby dolphin and mom bonding

    Discovery Cove, SeaWorld Orlando's day resort, has released photos of a female dolphin calf born there on Feb. 12. The calf, shown with her mom, Rose, now weighs about 53 pounds and is 47 inches long. The baby, the 27th dolphin born at Discovery Cove, is nursing and bonding with mom, park officials say.
